Since launching Adobe Stock in June 2015, we’ve been working diligently to expand our content offering, both in terms of diversity and asset types. Our collection has now grown to 75 million, spanning across photos, videos, illustrations and vectors, and we’ve added new content types including Templates and 3D models, lighting and materials. We owe this milestone to our incredibly talented and dedicated contributor community.
Today we are excited to announce our partnership with Pond5 to further expand our video offering. Pond5 offers a diverse library of videos, motion-graphics and more, sourced from an international community of artists. The collection spans across a mix of modern, highly sought after content themes such as lifestyle, recreation, sports, cinematic, and aerial footage.
Our appetite for video content is at an all-time high, with over 1 billion hours of video being consumed per day on Youtube alone. Cisco anticipates that by 2020, nearly 80% of all Internet traffic will come from video consumption. Stock video plays an important role in fulfilling this demand, appearing in network television programs, adverts, and even Hollywood feature films. At Adobe Stock, we’re committed to developing our collections to meet the demands of the marketplace.
Our partnership will bring a large and growing segment of high-quality footage clips from Pond5’s collection. Our customers will have access to this wide range of video and motion graphics content at their fingertips, thanks to Adobe Stock’s native integrations into Creative Cloud applications. In turn, Pond5’s contributors will be able to reach an even bigger market of creative buyers.
